What is Islam?

Islam is not just a religion — it is a complete way of life.
The word Islam means “submission” or “surrender” to the will of Allah (God).
A person who follows Islam is called a Muslim, which means “one who submits to Allah.”

 

Islam teaches that there is only One God (Allah) — the Creator of everything in the universe — and that all human beings are His servants.

Muslims believe that peace and success in this life and the next come through obeying Allah and following His guidance.

Islam is a religion of peace and submission to Allah (God).
